Taking my SATs.

SATs are year 6 tests which determine how smart you are in a particular subject.Typically, the subjects are maths and english, including spelling and grammar.

I would like to start off by saying it wasn’t really my SAT’S as when covid struck we had less time to practise for the tests. Knowing we had less time for the tests, the teachers understood that but they said we still had to do tests but in a different format. We did 4 maths papers and 1 english paper!

When I entered my classroom, on the day of the test, I felt very nervous as a thought disturbed me, which was If I did not do well in the tests I would end up in a low set (I am hoping to get into set one or two-which are the best sets. Even though when I was doing the tests, the thought kept bugging me, I just took deep breaths which managed to calm me down.

If we go back one week before the tests started, I remember sacrificing playing games. I realised if I wanted to get a good score on my tests, I would have to stop playing video games for a bit like Fortnite,Minecraft and Roblox. It hurt!

Fast forward two weeks, I aced the tests! I now feel the world’s pressure has lifted off my shoulders.
